Aufgaben

In the autonomous driving team, we focus on the development of the future autonomous driving system for Mercedes-Benz cars. We integrate a variety of high-end sensors and the overall ADAS SW stack. The system is developed in-house at Mercedes-Benz and with other partners, like NVIDIA.

As a platform developer (f/m/x) you will work in an agile team of senior experts towards a safe, reliable and adaptable eco system, that enables the autonomous driving for Mercedes-Benz.

The developed platform relies on classic and adaptive AUTOSAR standards. It shall provide an easy to use and easy to integrate development kit to the developer community.

The platform is also the foundation for a high quality embedded release.

Your tasks in detail:

Develop base software for high performance ECU`s w/ machine learning
Develop a base layer with AUTOSAR classic and AUTOSAR adaptive
Develop middleware software based on POSIX RT-OS
Develop device specific driver software for communication
Develop software to support fail-safe and fail-operational methods
Develop software for high speed data logging
Develop software to support hypervisor concepts

Qualifikationen

Your qualifications

Degree in Computer Science Engineering, information technology or similar
Proficient in German and English
Excellent skills in embedded software development in C/C++
Excellent skills in the development of safety critical software according e.g. ISO 26262, MIL-STD-882E, ISO 16508 etc.)
Experiences with POSIX OS like Linux or QNX
Experiences with vehicle bus technologies: CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet
Experiences with communication protocols: SomeIP, TCP/UDP
Experiences with Automotive OS & Frameworks: AUTOSAR, Adaptive AUTOSAR
IDLs and Code generators, e.g. FrancaIDL
Embedded diagnostics and logging of huge data streams

Nice to have

Advanced knowledge in a popular scripting language like Python
Experiences in embedded SW Integration and Testing
Familiarity with ASPICE
Familiarity with open source licenses and/or being a contributor to open source projects
Understanding of ADAS SW stack and Sensor principles
Open-Source Background

Proficiency in problem solving and troubleshooting technical issues
Excellent organizational, time management, prioritization and multi-tasking skills
Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Personal initiative, commitment, perseverance and resilience
