The position has the responsibility for portfolio risk management for the DFS entities in China. The responsibilities include the coordination of the entity wide risk strategy and providing and maintaining related steering tools. This includes the local application of the group wide risk capital strategy, risk quantification and risk return steering for the DFS portfolio in China. It includes all steps in the credit risk management steering cycle ranging from local risk reporting, monitoring & analysis on asset, customer&dealer group or financial product level to create transparency on the risk situation and trends within the DFS portfolio in China, using internal data but also macroeconomic, industry and provincial level data and information. The position further includes risk management process steps for advanced data preparation and management . The position also includes the monthly monitoring and analyzing activities based on CBIRC&PBOC regulatory reporting requirements, local GAAP and IFRS.
Risk Strategy, Risk Appetite Steering and Economic Capital Management
Monitor and calibrate as required assumptions in QCats and RORAC models to ensure proper risk and capital allocation for China entities.
Risk Analysis and Reporting
Monitor and implement regulatory requirements, in particular PBOC and CBRC
Qualification & skills:
University Degree in Mathematics, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or other relevant discipline
Knowledge of statistics, accounting, economics and risk management;
Risk management acumen on delinquency, risk migration and other risk KPIS；
Good analytical skills including mathematics and statistics;
Ability to apply complex concepts to the organization.
Good written and verbal communication skills with experience in effectively interacting with stakeholders at all between financial services levels of the organization.
Sufficient knowledge of risk data (daily/month-end snapshot) and system, SAS programming and SAS report automation experience would be a strong advantage ;
Fluency in English and Mandarin.
4 or more years of experience in the financial services industry;
Credit risk management experience is a must.
Experience developing financial reporting and dashboards related to risk.
Experience in data management and data analysis, preferably in financial risk domain.
Experience with risk management concepts such as credit life cycle , scorecard and rating, risk driver, credit decision and risk account management system and credit policies
Participation at trainings mandatory for this position.
