Manager (L5)- Senior Solution Architect (Contract - 2 Years)

Daimler Financial Services (DFS) provides customers with a range of mobility options from financing and leasing to insurance and fleet management. The Digital Solution Centre (DSC) located in Singapore plays a pivotal role for DFS’s business development by driving digital adoption and innovation.
 
With the role of Solution Architect we are looking for an individual with hands-on experience in designing and building medium to large scale enterprise systems with focus on SOA principles. The role includes but is not strictly limited to the following activities.
 
•Design and development of solutions following best practices and formal methodologies
•Performing of evaluations of technology standards, tools/products and solutions
•Make rational design decisions from business and technical perspectives and clearly  communicate recommendations to IT application teams
•Participate in the analysis, planning, and execution of IT-enabled business solutions
•Define guidelines and recommendations based on leading industry practices tailored to our needs and infrastructure
•Manage vendors and work with internal development teams to ensure successful product outcomes
•Take user stories created by Product Owners and determine and define the technical aspects of the story
•Be an active member in a product focused scrum team
•Business experience with Customer Portal, Regional Middleware and Customer Experience Management solutions a requirement
•Investigate and recommend new and emerging tools and technologies to assist teams in achieving outcomes
•Support implemented solutions by conducting root cause analysis on issues
•Clearly document solution and product architectures and maintain documentation for existing and future products
•Knowledge around DevOps and Containers required for CI/CD
 
Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and supporting the team with the Cloud assessments and ensuring products work proficiently within the cloud
 
 
 

Education, Work experience, and Competencies
 
•Bachelor Degree Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering or the like
•5+ years’ experience in software development projects
•In-depth understanding how to digitize and optimize processes
•Proven track record in developing and implementing digital projects
•Project management experience with the ability to work independently with little supervision
•Strong interpersonal skills to interact with diverse teams
•Experience with third party vendors & suppliers, e.g., in managing and coordinating them effectively
•Able to communicate – in writing, verbally, and visually; and ability to reduce complex subjects to succinct information
•Ideally Agile Product Owner /Scrum Master certified
•Fluent written and spoken English
•Strong solution orientation and problem solving skills.
•Automotive, Finance or Banking Industry domain knowledge a requirement
 
 
Technical Competencies
 
•Experience in the Microsoft technology stack, i.e. Microsoft .NET Core, Azure, TFS
•Understanding of APIs technologies and Apigee / ESB (IIB)
•Knowledge of related trends such as DevOps, Performance Engineering, Containers (Docker) ect.
•Familiar with the Atlassian Toolchain
•Knowledge of Cloud Technologies, familiar with the 12 factors of cloud native application development
•Strong knowledge of networking, Microsoft and Linux internals and IT-security
•Understanding of Customer Portal solutions
•Customer Experience Manager
•Qualtrics Tooling Experience
