Design contributes significantly to a leading product portfolio. Under the leadership of Gorden Wagener, Chief Design Officer of Daimler AG with his international creative team, design plays a key role in the company's success.

Within the Mercedes Benz UX design department, we are responsible for the global design development for the MBUX, our in-vehicle benchmark infotainment system. In addition to Mercedes Cars, we are successfully developing the UX design for Smart, Mercedes Vans and Mercedes Trucks.

We are a global, multidisciplinary team with worldwide locations in Nice, California and Beijing and are looking for you as aGameplay Designer & programmer.

    Specifically, this means:
  • Creation of high-emotional real-time 3D worlds in the field of highly automated driving and related ecosystems
  • Creation of innovative interaction concepts for AR applications and immersive environments
  • Designing playful applications in the vehicle (gamification)
  • Optimizing the 3D Design Toolchain

Education:
Degree in gaming design, interaction design, motion design or similar disciplines

    You are a perfect match for us:
  • professional experience with realtime rendering pipelines and shader & lighting scene creation (ideally in Unity or Unreal)
  • professional experience in creating and optimizing FX / effects, as well as converting effect assets (DCC -> Runtime / Unity) plus demo reel of recent work

  • Tool Development & In-Depth Runtime Optimization Knowledge
  • Interested in prototyping, UI & UX as well as gameplay conception & implementation
  • 3D Generalist Experiences & Skills (3D Modeling & Texturing)

This is a full-time job (also suitable for part-time)
