Mercedes-Benz Research and Development, India is seeking Engineers /Lead Engineer with a strong Hardware development and integration knowledge to work in the areas of Parking Assistance Systems.

Key Job Responsibilities:
Overall hardware Responsible for Park Assist Systems (Rear View Camera , 360° Camera, Multipurpose camera and Active park Assist system)
Perform hardware design reviews and ensure supplier hardware quality deliveries
Drive hardware cost reduction (VAVE) activities
Suggest/Improve existing and New Designs for Hardware enhancement
Impact Analysis of the change of Hardware Components to the system and vehicle
Hardware requirement definition
Vehicle level EMI/EMC testing; Analyze test Results & propose solutions for improvement
Key driver for EE Lab / test bench setup for various ECU Variants , Interface checking, gateway modifications
Review/Modify/Redesign wiring harness
Conduct Hardware Test; Root Cause Analysis for hardware related issues/bugs discovered in bench and vehicle level tests
Measurement and Analysis of Camera or Ultrasonic sensor parameters. Eg. Baud rate, ECU performance, Power Management, Interference etc…
 

Basic Qualification:
Bachelors/Masters in Electronics and Communication/Electrical and Electronics Engineering
8-12 years of experience in Automotive domain
 
Key Skills and Experience:
Automotive Hardware System Engineering and Development experience
Exposure to EMI/EMC Test; Result analysis and improvement proposals
Experience as Hardware System Engineer or Architect
Exposure in one or more of the following areas – Radar systems, Antenna performance, Camera Based assistance systems , Park Assistant systems , Ultrasonic sensors, ADAS
Knowledge in Wiring Harness design , Electrical Systems Knowhow and debugging skills
Vehicle Testing and EE System Integration
System Requirements Elicitation Activities
Interpreting component & wiring diagrams
Supplier Coordination
 
Preferred Skills:
Usage of Vector CAN tools - CANOE
Usage of DOORS
System knowhow in Camera sensors / ser-des / Image quality/ HMI / Object Detection
Ethernet, CAN and FLEXRAY protocol knowledge
Exposure to ISO26262, ASPICE, Gateway Simulation
Good communication skills and ability to work in & contribute as a good team player
Experience in the automotive field and exposure of multi-cultural environment is an added advantage.
