Trucks and Buses -Principal Engineer -Driver Assistance Control Software Development

End-to-End SW development responsible with adherence to Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for Advanced Driver Assistance (ADAS) Functions
Design & development of algorithms in line with functional safety (e.g. ISO26262, MISRA), model based development standards (e.g. MAAB), Daimler internal standards in collaboration with global R&D teams
Functional development of Matlab-Simulink/Targetlink models in AUTOSAR from the functional specification
Establish complete traceability across System requirements to Software requirements to Matlab Models
Define requirement specification for new features and change request
Establish process and tools for Next Generation Advanced Driver Assistance System
Perform Model in Loop (MiL), Software in Loop (SiL) & Processor in Loop (PiL) testing
Perform Functionality test on simulated HiL environment or directly on test vehicles to validate the ADAS Functions
Perform Unit level testing with 100% code coverage
Documentation of the design, implementation and the test results
Troubleshooting on issues reported from Development and Series SW and proposing solutions
Participate in review of function models, design, analysis of defects and propose solutions
Creation & maintenance of technical documentation for ADAS SW functions
Come up with innovation in ADAS domain
Adherence to defined Daimler Process
Release Management to ensure ontime delivery with 100% Functionality Implementation and testing with assured SW quality
Analyze Data collected from Vehicle fleet for various ADAS functions
Root Cause analysis of observed events and Scenarios using Statistical data, Video and GPS information
Perform compariative study of ADAS function performance across regions, weather, traffic, infrastructure, etc.,
Suggest improvements to the ADAS algorithm or Other components or sensors based on the identified root causes
Analysis of sensor performance on various Driving and Road scenarios
Automation(Ideate and Implement) to improve the Data analysis and visualzation aspects - to enhance efficiency, quality and value addition
Apply Advanced aligorithms like Machine Learning, AI, etc., to meet the future demands of ADAS (>Lvl 3) Analysis and Development


Technical Skills
In-depth understanding of Advanced Driver Assistance (ADAS) Systems
Expertise in the area of Sensor Signal Processing for Active Safety application.
Model Based development, implementation & Validation of Active Safety Functions
Expertise on Matlab, Simulink, Stateflow ,Targetlink/RTW tools
Knowledge on AUTOSAR based Application development using ARXML
Sound knowledge on Scripting Languages like CAPL/Python and programming in Embedded C
Strong debugging skills using Lauterbach Trace32 and Hands-on to compilers like Tasking Compiler, DIAB Compiler is plus
Integration : Toolchain, compilation, linking, A2L generation and continuous integration using Jenkins
Experience in using version control system such as SVN or similar
Communication protocol exposure like CAN, CAN-FD & Ethernet
Configuration tools hands-on - Vector Geny, EB tresos or similar
Function testing to diagnose and resolve problems using tools like Vector CANoe, CANape, CANalyser, CANdela Studio, Monaco
Unit testing with CANTATA/Time Partition Testing/Tessy etc
Knowledge of typical automotive software development processes & agile methodologies
Experience in any Version management & Configuration tools (like Subversion, Clear case, MKS Integrity, JIRA, Jenkins etc.)

- Education & Training: Bachelors or Masters in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent
- Specialization in System Controls and/or Signal Processing
